Sitting Tall

Hannah has now added sitting unassisted to her list of skills. She turned 5 mo. on Monday and these were taken on Tuesday. I can't believe how big she has gotten. She has two teeth! We weighed her Wednesday (we don't weigh her often, but we needed to know so we could give her the correct dose of Tylenol) and she already weighs over 16 1/2 lbs. No wonder a lot of her 3-6 mo clothes have gotten too small and the 6-9 mo are fitting pretty good! Definately got those genes from her daddy!

My silly kitty, Ariel, is making me laugh again!

Hannah has started laughing at the cat. She has been watching her as she walks by, but now she smiles at her. Especially when the cat is rubing on against my arm as I try to take a picture Hannah.

Bath Time!

Hannah still really enjoys her baths, although I think she enjoys her feet more! She can't get enough of them and bath time is no exception.

Here are some (not many) pictures from last weekend with the family. We didn't take a lot and I have to apologize to my Mom and sister-in-law Susanna that we didn't get them in a picture! But we did enjoy having everyone here!

Baby Dedication

We had Hannah's baby dedication last Sunday morning. Both sets of grandparents were able to come and Aunt Susanna, too. I didn't do a great job of picture taking, but here are a couple of pictures of Hannah in her dress. I am pretty proud of this dress. It is from Gymboree and is probably the most fancy dress she will have for quite sometime. Unless when I go shopping with her Aunt Stacie and we find another great deal, because Aunt Stacie is great at finding good deals. Like when she came down last month and we went shopping I got 10 things from Children's Place for just $18!

Oh, Daddy you make me laugh!

We got our first video of her really laughing, not just squealing. She provides lots of good entertainment. I believe Daddy was have just as much fun as Hannah.

Rollin'

On Friday, Chris and I got to see first hand Hannah rolling and not just the finished product. Know she rolls as soon as you get her on her back, it is a never ending cycle. She likes performing the trick, but is not always happy with the end position, especially when I am asleep and don't know how I got this way.

Big Girl Pacifier

Here I am with my big girl pacifier. No more newborn pacifier for me!

Thought this was cute. It looks like she is multi-tasking with her toys :)

Burr!!!! That's Cold!!!!

I gave Hannah a chilled teether today thinking she might like it. I will let you judge by the expressions on her face!

Firsts

Yesterday we got to experience a couple of firsts. First, in the morning she was crying with her mouth wide open and I saw her first tooth coming through on the bottom right middle. She hasn't really been fussy or anything, which is great!

Then later yesterday evening, I was in the kitchen doing some dishes and Chris was watching the Olympics and he called in and asked "Did you put her on her tummy or back"? Yes, that's right, she had rolled over while neither of us were paying attention. Here is a post roll over picture. I think she looks proud of herself.

Weekend with the Alveys!

Yummy Cereal!!!!

Not quite sure what this stuff is . . . . . . but a couple of tries later it's not to bad (although Daddy says it needs some salt). Here is a short clip.

4 Months Old!

Hannah turned 4mo. last Friday. And we had our well baby check-up today, here are her stats. 25.5 in. long (90%)
14 lbs 5 oz. (50-75%)
head 16 (I don't know where this falls, I would say normal)

I would post a picture taken on Sunday, but it keeps giving me an error?

One of God's Beautiful Promises

We got a little bit of rain on Wed. night and Chris was giving Hannah a bath and out the window I saw a beautiful rainbow. It was a complete rainbow that I could see the beginning and end of, it was really beautiful!

Hannah likes her exersaucer, although, it will probably be a little longer before she really enjoys her time there. I managed to snap what I think are some great pics of her playing in it the other night.

Just thought I would try a slide show

New pictures! I know, Finally!

Sorry about the long gap in posts, this will be a long one. Life is busy! Things have been going well. We got Hannah some eye drops last week and her eyes look much better. If only those tear ducts would open up. We turn 4mo. this Friday and will have our Dr. Apt. the next Monday. I promise to post the stats then.

We think she has done a lot of growing in the last week or so. She has started eating more and likes to put her hands up at the bottle as if she is trying to help, although it sometimes backfires on her and she knocks the bottle out of her mouth. Can't fault her for trying though.

Hannah is doing really good sitting in her Bumbo, so we decided to get an exersaucer. We will see how she likes it and if they really are for 4 mo. and up. Here are some more pictures . . . . . until next time!

She is still working on rolling over as you can see here.

Here she is just looking cute! I am completely impartial!

And all that playing has tuckered her out!

Our day at home!

On Wednesday Hannah had a fever, so she got to stay home with Mommy for the day. At 9am her fever was gone and she was just a little more laid back than normal, but was still alert and happy to play. I was reading and she was playing on the floor and I looked down and she looked like she was about to roll over, so I ran for the camera. Here are some pictures and a short video before she got stuck and needed my help.

Wednesday turned into one of those days that one thing after another happened. First I went to get the darks out of the drier to fold them and I pulled out a pair of pants and noticed a black spot and then I looked in the drier and there was black ink all over the drum and all of our clothes!! We used bleach and lava soap and got the drier clean. Still working on the clothes, some of which may not be savable. Then I heard water running and went down the hall and found that it was the a/c. So we had the heating and air people out. They were able to fix it, but maybe just temporarily. Thank goodness for a savings account when things come up unexpectedly!

Here are some more pictures of Hannah at tummy time. She is getting much better at holding her head up and tummy time lasts longer. Its probably nice to look around the room and not just at the floor!
