Birthday Party

Here were the cakes. They were birthday hats (just incase you couldn't tell :) ). This was my first attempt to ever decorate cakes, so I was really pleased with how they turned out. The theme of the party was birthday princess. She wore her birthday tiarra and sash that she also wore on her actual birthday.

She really liked the icing on the cake and she did get a few bites of her PaPa's homemade vanilla ice cream.

Hannah also had fun opening gifts. She got some new toys, books, and clothes for this summer.

Time Zones

Woops, I guess I should have said that Ben was born sometime before 11:30am (2:30 our time) in Anchorage Alaska.

Welcome to the Family, Ben!

Hannah has a new cousin, Benjamin Michael Halbrook.  My brother, Michael, and his wife, Megan, just had their second.  Proud sister Amelia.  I am not sure of the time he was born (sometime before 2:30pm), but he weighed 7lbs 7ozs and was 20 in. long.

Our own little Mowgli

Here is Hannah's new way to get around. I am told by my mother that this is how I always crawled, but she said I wore dresses all the time and I guess this must have been the best way to crawl in a dress. (or at least that is the excuse the I will use)

Rubba dub dub, Hannah in the Tub!

We finally got a mat to put in the bottom of the tub so that Hannah can play more and not just slide around. As you can see she has lots of toys to choose from!

Her hair is getting longer and is filling in really well. She even had enough to make soapy piggy tails!

Random pictures from the last month

Random pictures from the last month because it has been OVER a month since the last time I posted.  I think about it, but when I have 'time', I just want to sit on the couch with my husband, because Hannah is in bed and that is the only time you can just sit there.  Although most of the time the TV is on and I fall asleep, but still time with the husband.

I love my cat, Ariel!

Oh, Mom let me help you with the laundry!  Hannah loves to 'help' with the laundry.  While I fold she makes a pile of laundry that she will fold on for me on the floor.  I am still waiting for her to fold that pile.

Hannah's first freckle.
I don't know if it is a bad thing that she already has a freckle, but isn't it cute there on top of her foot.

I am so proud of myself!

Mom are you sure we look okay for a picture, we're still in our PJs!

Am I practicing my kissy face or am I trying to whistle?  Hannah has started puckering her lips an blowing.  It would be really funny except she likes to do this when we are trying to feed her dinner!

My angelic face.

Not so angelic.
Really I caught her it the middle of a laugh.  She has started this new laugh were she wrinkles up her nose and sometimes (like this time) opens up her mouth really wide.

Hannah has begun to pull up on EVERYTHING to reach EVERYTHING!  What was her first motivation to pull up?   The Cat!

I see that tail and know I can reach it!!!  Hee Hee!

How do I get down!!!????
It took a few days for her to figure out how to sit down from standing up.  It is so funny what you have to learn as a baby, who would have thought that you would have to figure that out, but you do.

Does my head fit through here? Please Hannah lets not find out!!

Cruising

Yesterday Hannah and I had the day off for Pres. Day.  We hung out in our PJs and watched HGTV and FoodNetwork.  I was watching TV and looked over and there was Hannah walking across the living room with her baby doll stroller.  She is growing so fast . . . one day pulling up on the couch and the next walking!!! Funny thing I put her baby doll in the stroller and she kept just taking her out and looking at me like why was she in there!  Guess she hasn't put together what it is that she is walking with, I guess I ask to much of my 10mo. old!

Crawling

Here is a video of her crawling when we were still at Chris' parent's (Hannah's Nana and Poppy) house after Christmas. I tried to get video this weekend of her clapping, but our clapping this weekend was reserved mainly for the changing table and while trying to settle down for a nap.

Promise of a new header

New Header coming this weekend.  I love Christmas, but . . . .   Now that I have said I will change it I have to do it. :)

Hannah has started crawling and clapping, so there will also be some video of that as well as the new header!

Go little Horsey, Go!

Chris' parents bought this bouncer for Hannah to play in while we were there. She had a great time! Chris' dad recorded some of the fun.
